Tribal Friday...

Tribal Friday - celebrating all that is handmade and exotic and colourful.  Oooh I do like Tribal Friday.

Here we go... Pink Hmong tribal bag from Habibi - my favourite Moroccan/Tribal shop in Melbourne...
Detail with Kuchi necklace and Tibetan prayer beads...
Altar cloth detail from Thailand with a big chunk of rose quartz from our holiday to Byron...
Tibetan temple hanging...
Afghani tassels...
Indian mirror with Ganesh, Buddha, Tara and Durga miniatures...

Little Phoebe on an Indian kantha quilt (even Pheebs is partaking in Tribal Friday!)...
However she much prefers a crochet rug for snoozing (so blissed out by crochet that she is oblivious to that mouse sneaking up on her)...
Indian kantha quilt (minus the fluffy one) and Indian cushions...
Indian wooden elephant with South African bead adornment with a Sri Lankan mini elephant all on a vintage doily....
Yesterday's jewels...
A henna artist's staple... Bindis!
I love doing henna for a job, but I also love the mad outfits that I get to wear too.  Here we have Javadhu powder (natural perfume), bindis, Afghani and Indian jewellery...
A tribal outfit requires a tribal bag... luckily I'm well stocked!
Silk skirts... a costume staple...
I love embroidered clothes...
My workroom with Tribal Banjara skirt (for those special henna events) and a blue wrap skirt which I have just finished for my Etsy store ...
Tribal tassel hangs with a Nomadic Tara heart...

Peacock feather and a dream flag from my store...
Feathers collected from Montsalvat and Saraswati figurine...
Indian painted pot with African lady stone statue (bought back from Africa by Mr Tara many moons ago)...
Hope you enjoyed Tribal Friday, happy weekend everybody!
