I'm sewing again!

With all the henna madness lately, my little sewing machine was feeling a bit neglected.  I missed it's constant whirr in my life but now I am making time for both the henna and the sewing.

These are a couple of my latest creations.  I have many ideas in my head waiting to be turned into stock for my shop.  Over the next month I hope to be adding a few more items.

A one of a kind table runner made with doilies galore and linens...

Remember the teal serendipity post from a few weeks ago???  I made good use of those...
 Crochet on doily dream catcher...

 Turquoise beads...
I'm rather keen on this one!
Hope your week is going well...

The Roses are in bloom...

I've been waiting for the roses in my garden to bloom.  Now that they have, I've been filling vases with stems and floating blooms in bowls of water...

Henna on canvas...

I usually use myself as one big canvas... but with all the henna activity lately, my arms are full, my feet are full...hmmm...what next?

 Henna on canvas!

After a seal of Modpodge, the canvas takes on an old-world look with the henna staining the canvas giving it an overall brown wash which I like...

For good measure, I did one on my hand ready for tonight's henna spot at Ishka Fountain Gate...
The henna on canvas will be available in my Etsy store soon.

Springtime

Here's a look at spring time in my garden... everything looks fresh this time of year.  In a few months everything will be wilting from the heat - except me - I love the heat! (except when it sits at 40 degrees for a few days, then I fold...)

This season's first Lily...

Fig leaf...
Spider's den... eek, watch out!
Tibetan prayer flag in the outdoor seating area...

Creeping Ivy...tut tut!
One million daisies... I don't know the real name but that's what I call them...

Nearly there....
Lavender lovelies...
Until next time...
