Tribal Tuesday...

Tribal treasures - history and a story in every piece.  Some known, many imagined.  It's the shared energy of each piece that I love.  The way things get handed down and traded on... and on...

First up, a Kuchi piece from Pakistan that came to me via Latvia...  hanging on a Thai hilltribe piece of embroidery I bought when I was travelling in Thailand...
Metal cuff from China, Indian wooden beads from a friend's market stall, a henna stone from the garden on a Thai embroidery from my travels...
Indian ankle bangle which I wear as an armband in my more tribal moments....
Henna design by me, stone by mother nature...
Indian papier mache Ganesh with fetching earrings on a wall hanging bought by Mr Tara on one of our trips to India...
Wall hanging detail...
Indian cushions sit on a rug from Syria (from a cycle expedition we did many moons ago)...
Buddha...
Indian necklace (a gift from a lovely tribal goddess) on an Indian temple carving...
Amethyst geode from Byron Bay on a vintage doily...
Kuchi hair ornament on an Indian lassi cup beside a hand drawn card (by me) for Mr Tara's birthday...
Baby's embroidered hat from the hilltribes in Thailand...
Tribal tassel on an Indian Banjara tribal skirt...

Indian Toran in blue...
Indian cut-work on a Tree of Life wall hanging (a gift from a friend)...
Little Phoebe on the fancy seat... sitting on an Indonesian sarong beside Indian sequined cushions...
Happy Tribal Tuesday everyone!  I do hope your week is going well.

Tara
